About the project

Fire, Redemption, and an internationally acclaimed cultural festival shown by Overon Aerial

Overon Aerial, the MEDIAPRO BMS Group division specialized in aerial broadcasting with drones, undertook the aerial coverage of the live broadcast of the Nit de la Cremà in Valencia, held on Tuesday, March 19, which was aired live on À Punt (Valencian regional radio and television). For the first time in the more than two and a half centuries of history of this internationally known tradition, drones were incorporated to capture compelling aerial footage and enhance the viewer experience of the Fallas broadcast.

During the over six hours of broadcasting of the main event that marked the end of the Fallas, ‘la nit de la Cremà,’ viewers were able to see, thanks to Overon Aerial‘s drones, unique shots from perspectives never seen before and diverse angles and heights, both of the burning of the main Fallas and the fireworks events. Drones equipped with high-quality cameras were used to capture live footage, accessing locations that were challenging or impossible for traditional camera setups. As a result of this technological advancement, the program was an acclaimed and complete success, providing viewers with dynamic and immersive coverage, leading to over 456,000 Valencians tuning into the program at some point.

Las Fallas is a traditional celebration in Valencia, Spain, known for its elaborate sculptures, fireworks, parades, and other festivities. It typically takes place at the beginning of March, with preparations and events leading up to the main days of celebration. For the main night, ‘La Noche Mágica,’ the aerial division of the MEDIAPRO BMS deployed six skilled technicians with extensive experience in the audiovisual world, in nighttime flights, recording fireworks, and all the required safety regulations.
