Riyadh Season Cup

February 2024, Riyadh_Alamiya and GRUP MEDIAPRO carry out the production of this triangular football-friendly tournament called the Riyadh Season Cup 2024. This event is a large cultural and sports festival sponsored by the government and of great relevance in Saudi Arabia that has not stopped gaining popularity in recent years.

A multicultural team of 40 professionals from Alamiya and GRUP MEDIAPRO worked together on this production, made up of producers, AR graphic artists, camera and replay operators, and the production team. Oscar Lago, Dani Lozano, and Víctor Ayllón were leading the operative, and Jose Serrano the production.

This year’s soccer tournament had raised great international expectations because the three participating teams (Al Nassar, Inter Miami, and Al Hilal) had among their ranks some of the most decorated players in the history of soccer: Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, and Neymar JR, although the latter player, missed the games due to injury.

The format of the tournament was another of the notable novelties of this edition because instead of being a direct match between Inter Miami and Al-Nassr, as in previous years, the Riyadh Season Cup 2024 adopted a triangular format with the following order of matches: Inter Miami vs. Al Hilal on January 20th, followed by Al Nassr vs. Inter Miami on February 1st and Al Nassr vs. Al Hilal on February 8th.

Through this formula, each team faced the other two in a league format, and the team with the most points at the end, this time Al-Hilal, was crowned the winner of the tournament in an epic final in which Cristiano Ronaldo could not prevent his team, Al Nassr, from being defeated.
